We get plenty of snow here! Explore Winter in the North Country

New Hampshire winter activities are unlocked with winters in the North Country that start early and stay longer! It’s the perfect playground for those that love winter sports. The Great North Woods is known for having the best snowmobiling in New Hampshire and is considered the snowmobile capital of New England. Snowfall typically makes its debut in our region around October and lingers well into April (sometimes May).

We offer extensive activities for winter fun for the whole family!

Snowshoeing in New Hampshire doesn’t get any better than in the North Country, and will soon be one of your favorite winter activities. The North Country is home to tons of scenic hiking trails that can be hiked during the snow-covered winter months with snowshoes.

The North Country’s network of snowmobile trails also connects to trails in Vermont and Maine, allowing visitors to snowmobile for days at a time without riding the same trail twice. We boast of some of the best ice-fishing in the Northeast! The North country’s still waters like the Connecticut Lakes, pack in breathtaking winter scenery with the peaceful opportunities of a winter catch.

New Hampshire Winter Activities are some of the best in the U.S.!

This winter wonderland attracts winter enthusiast with deep snow that tops the United States average by 175+ inches annually. Get out there and have fun in the beautiful winter wonderland, then come inside and warm up by a cozy fire at any one of our lodging and dining options!
