No matter what time of year you visit the North Country, you’ll find plenty of fun and exciting activities to enjoy. Explorations are endless, no matter the North Country Season!

Here in the North Country, we have four distinct seasons, each with its own events and adventures, allowing visitors to have a completely new, unique experience every few months.

During the winter, visitors put on their warm weather gear and enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Many plan their trip around the Snowflake Festival in December or the annual Snofest – a winter outdoor recreation festival with snowmobiling, snowshoeing and fat tire biking – in early March.

Spring in the North Country means maple sugaring, early season fishing and the popular Dixville Notch Music, Arts and Crafts Festival. Come summer, the region becomes a vast wilderness playground where people enjoy hiking, paddling, biking, ATVing and camping. The season’s grand finale is the annual Moose Festival each August. In autumn, the region boasts colorful fall foliage as the fall fishing and hunting seasons kick into high gear and visitors enjoy the annual Harvest Festival.

So no matter what you pick your North Country season you choose, it’s sure to be a great one!

Come sample all the seasons the North Country has to offer.
