Snow Days are Here!

Looks like Mother Nature received the memo that it’s winter! The snow has arrived and TRAILS ARE OPEN! When’s the last time you took a snow day / getaway?

Come on up to North Country NH and let’s have some fun.

HOP ON A SLED

For a snowmobiling adventure, the North Country is where it’s at.  Our fantastic snowmobile clubs have the trails groomed and ready to go, so what are you waiting for? Hundreds of miles of trails with beautiful scenery are begging for you to get out there. For NH and VT trail info and more, visit NH Snowmobile Association and/or VT VAST.

TAKE A HIKE

Strap on those snowshoes and hit the trails! Up here, our trails are less crowded and more spectacular than you might find elsewhere. As you plan your trip, be sure to check out the White

Mountains Association for trails, tips, safety info and so much more.

Locals suggest:

  • Dixville Notch State Park
  • Mount Sanguinary (overlooks Lake Gloriette)
  • Table Rock
  • Three Brothers Trails (for beginners)

And, don’t be surprised if you spot a moose or deer roaming nearby!

ICE ICE BABY

Sure…we LOVE our mountains, but let’s not forget about our fabulous lakes! Your next big catch is waiting. Ice fishing is a great sport, offering peace, beautiful scenery, and some fresh and delicious eats straight from the lake.

So, bundle up and get out on Lake Francis, Back Lake, or the Connecticut Lakes.  It’ll be an experience not to be forgotten.

And, if you’re ready to make this happen, but don’t want to haul all your stuff with you, just connect with Lopstick in Pittsburg, NH where you can rent an ice hut and all the supplies you need.

Getting excited to plan your trip?  We thought you might be. Here’s some guidance on great places you can stay and where you can dine after your outdoor adventures.
