There’s always something fun happening in the North Country. This exciting region hosts many festivals, special events, concerts and more throughout the year.

Perhaps the region’s biggest event is the annual Moose Festival held each August. A favorite among both locals and visitors, the festival features a moose-calling competition, moose chili tasting, and the opportunity to look for moose in some of the area’s best-known moose hotspots. But the festival is more than just a celebration of the region’s most iconic creature. It also celebrate the culture of the North Country, with arts and crafts vendors, a maple syrup tasting contest, horse and wagon rides, live music and more.

The Moose Festival is just one of the many fun events held in the North Country each year. Music and art lovers are sure to enjoy the annual Dixville Notch Music, Arts and Crafts Festival held each spring, while the Snowflake Festival and the GoNorth Snofest ‒ a snowmobiling festival ‒ are popular events held each winter.

Visitors are sure to enjoy the variety of concerts and theater productions held regularly at the Tillotson Center. Anyone looking for a physical challenge can take on one of the North Country’s many athletic events, such as the annual Covered Bridge Half Marathon or Metallak Race.
