Spring Plant Sale

On May 23, the Busy Bees Gardening Group will be hosting a Spring Plant Sale on the front lawn of the Monadnock Congregational Church, at 147 Main Street in Colebrook, NH. The sale will take place from 8:30-11:00 AM. Plant donations of various sorts are being requested from community members, to be dropped off at the sale location starting at 7 a.m. that morning. If you want to thin out your flower garden, bring a bucketful to share! Also accepting vegetable & flower starter plants, indoor houseplants, small shrubs, etc. Please put in a container you are willing to part with, and include a label.
Plants will be available to purchase by donation, and all proceeds will go towards the group’s continued effort to beautify downtown Colebrook with flowers and gardens. If you have any questions or need to make alternate arrangements to drop off plants, please contact Colleen at 603-548-9706.
The Busy Bees are also seeking watering crew members to help water hanging flower baskets on Main Street, from late May to September. The more helpers, the less work it is for each! Is there one day of the week that would work for you? Please contact Katrina for details at 603-331-3197. The group plans to also continue to maintain the garden beds at the South Main Street island, the Howard’s triangle, the Memorial Lot and the Rec Center entrance, with a couple more potential garden projects in the works. Those interested in helping on gardening projects may contact Stacey at 802-274-7634. For general group updates, please visit the Busy Bees Gardening Group on Facebook.
