CAHS Presents: In Days Gone By – Vermont Country Ways

Back in the early 1900s, life in the rural villages of Vermont pretty much stayed the same as it had been a century earlier. Meanwhile, in America’s cities, technology was really pushing us into the future! Farmers, country doctors, teachers, and locals all share stories about how electrification, cars, radio, telephones, and other modern conveniences turned their lives upside down. In this charming video, Vermonters invite you to listen to their memories of those bygone days. They’ve woven together captivating stories with historic film footage and photos to give you a lively and heartfelt glimpse of life back then.
